They no conscience or empathy for anyone. As I have learned, you can't trust them. I was rear ended while stopped. The other driver also had Geico. He refused to show me his insurance card or license. He wrote down the information and didn't bother to write down the city he was from. I had damage to my vehicle and got whiplash. I thought because I was the one who was hit and injured that I would be taken care of. I was denied anything for the physical injuries within 7 days. Started out with Johnathan who during the process lied to me. I actually went on their website and found out that they show the letters they send out with the date. I spoke with Johnathan's supervisor, Rebecca Hamilton, and asked why customers weren't told these letters were on their website. She told me that they only tell you if you ask. Then I start getting phone calls from Jim Huber, Claims Manager asking me to send copies of all medical records and a copy of a physical I had. So I did. The jerk actually called me on my birthday and offered $500. I told him no and hung up on him. I had been in severe pain and constant headache on the scale of 9 for over two months at that point. Nothing my doctor gave me helped. I had a brain scan, x-rays, etc. My son had to stay home for his summer vacation to help me because I was incapacitated. He went to every visit which was over 1 1/2 hours each way until he had to go back to school. The pain and headache was so bad, I was stuck in my bedroom with pillows behind me with my head up against the wall in a dark room. Woke up at all hours of the night. I eventually ended up at physical therapy. What they call a minimal impact, went on for over 5 months. I hired a personal injury attorney who only called me back maybe twice. I wrote him letters and emailed him. It finally came down to a settlement. When I spoke with my attorney he lied to me. He got me to email him an authorization to settle and would email me the lien release. When I read the release from the paralegal, I sent an email to the paralegal asking questions. She said we don't give out that information until it's settled and told me that the attorney was out for the day. I start getting emails from attorney. I also got two aggressive voicemails from him trying to get me to sign lien release in same day. He lied again in another voicemail. I fired him. Got copies of my file. Missing information and white out on legal documents. So I contacted Alexa Nagle, Claims Department, got voicemail. I called her again and spoke with her. She informed me that they were paying for previous knee injury. What the hell is going on? We got into an argument at the end of call and she told me that she spent 50 minutes with me on the phone. Isn't that her job? I was not made aware of what was going on during the whole process. She had told me they wouldn't go any higher. I told her I'll take the guy who hit me to Superior Court. She sent me their claims website by email. They sent my attorney a check before the lien release was even emailed to me. From my accident, I had a severe headache, neck and upper back pain. I had severe nausea, couldn't concentrate, forgot what I was saying during mid-sentence, couldn't do anything except go to appointments, and it hurt to chew. Alexa told me that the accident happened to me and not my son. They wouldn't even consider any settlement regarding the whiplash. I'm appalled at the whole process. Now I can't do anything about the whole process because I have to make a complaint against my attorney. My attorney put a lien in with Geico for money if I settled. For over 5 months of pain and agony, going to appointments, paying for gas, getting prescriptions, putting all that mileage on my car, and physical therapy, etc. They offered a little over $2,000 plus medical bills. With the attorney fees and paying medical bills, I would end up with barely anything. I think there is a conspiracy between my attorney and Alexa so Geico doesn't have to pay what they owe. Been with them for 9 years. Shame on me. Going to new insurance company.
